(Aus) Adam Brand has won the CMC Oz Artist of the Year award. This is his fourth win and so far he is the only artist who has won the award since its debut in 2007.

Darius Rucker will host his first annual Darius and Friends concert on June 7th. The charity concert will raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®.

Mindy McCready will release her new single, "I Want a Man" to radio on March 29th. Her new CD, I'm Still Here, is set to be released on March 23rd.
On March 9th, Matt Kennon will release a digital-only EP, The Call. The EP includes three songs - the title track, "The Man I Used to Be," and "Some People Piss Me Off."
Th CD collection The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum Presents Sunday in the Country has been released. It includes twelve inspiring hits from artists including Keith Urban, Josh Turner, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, and others.
Gary Allan will send his new single, "Get Off on the Pain" to radio on March 15th, a week after his new album of the same name is released.

Brooks and Dunn received the Career Achievement Award from the Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame on Tuesday, February 23rd.
On April 19th, the Oak Ridge Boys will receive the Southern Gospel Music Guild (SGMG) Presiden'ts Honor at the SGMG Harmony Honors Celebration Concert.

Darius Rucker joins Musicians on Call (MOC) on February 24th when he appears at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System's VA Hospital. He will also give an intimate performace at the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville on March 3rd, which will also benefit MOC.
On March 6th and 7th, Randy Kohrs will be the band leader for the house band for the Children's Charity telethon in Des Moines, Iowa. Randy has been involved with the event since 1993.
The Country Music Hall of Fame has inducted four new members. They are: Jimmy Dean, Ferlin Husky, Don Williams, and Billy Sherrill.

Trisha Yearood will set out on a book tour on April 7th to support her new cookbook, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood.

- Duet of the Year - The McClymonts and Troy Cassar-Daley
- Bluegrass and Traditional Country Award - Davidson Brothers

- Victorian Album of the Year - Jetty Road
(Aus) Jasmine Rae has released a deluxe CD/DVD package for her debut album, Look It Up. The package includes six new tracks, four music videos, two live performances, and a mini-documentary on her career so far.

Susan Hickman is featured in the Listen Up! feature in the Frbruary 22nd issue of Country Weekly magazine. As part of the feature, Susan's song, "One of Those Who Makes It Up There," is available as a free download.
Dierks Bentley will perform at the 2010 Country Music DJ and Radio Hall of Fame ceremony on February 23rd. He will perform an acoustic tribute to Brooks and Dunn who will receive CRB's career achievement award t the ceremony.
Mindy McCready will release a new album, I'm Still Here, on March 23rd.

Todd Fritsch is offering a free song download, "Cowboy Legacy (A Tribute to Chris LeDoux)," through March 6th on his website.
Kenny Chesney will add two songs to his Greatest Hits II album on March 22nd. The songs, "Ain't Back Yet" and "This Is Our Moment" will be available digitally and will be added to new pressings of the CD.
On March 18th, Miranda Lambert will kick off her first headlining tour - Pink Guitars and Roadside Bars. Opening acts will include David Nail, James Otto, Randy Houser, and Wade Bowen.

The National Traditional Country Music Association is involved with the Tribute to Ted Mack and the Original Amateur Hour event, created by Tom and Bernie Worrel. The tribute will take place in Miami, FL on February 27th.
Carolyn Dawn Johnson gave birth to her son Bennett Derwin on Wednesday, February 3rd.
The Kenny Rogers TV special, Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years, is set to be taped in front of a live audience on April 10th at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The show will include several celebrities including Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Alison Krauss, The Oak Ridge Boys, and others. No network or air date has been announced.
Blake Shelton will release a 6-track album, Hillbilly Bone, on March 2nd. Another 6-track album is set to release this August.
Carrie Underwood is set to appear in the movie Soul Surfer in the supporting role of Sarah Hill.
